Movie Review: "Limitless"

The first time I saw a trailer for Limitless, I immediately thought this would be a great movie.

By the third trailer, my earned distrust of Hollywood's attempts to pass off interesting sounding concepts packaged as crappy movies took over.

In this case I should have trusted my first instinct.

Movie Review: "Oz the Great and Powerful"

OK so now they're making prequels for classic stories...

I now bring you the review of Oz the Great and Powerful.

Starring James Franco (Oz), Mila Kunis (Theodora), Zach Braff (Finley), Rachel Weisz (Evanora), and Michelle Williams (Glinda) -- with all playing double roles as a wink to The Wizard of Oz.

This is a whimsical tale -- much like the original -- and tells the tale of how a man from Kansas ever became known as The Wizard of Oz.

Movie Review: "Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox"

The latest DC Comics animated feature is Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox, mostly starring (you guessed it) the Flash.

The main events take place in an alternate timeline where some major events in the DC Universe have changed.

The results are catastrophic.

Can the Fastest Man Alive fix everything in time? (No pun intended.)

How Come?: Unfair World

How come people complain that the world is unfair, when they really just want it to be unfair to their advantage?

Personally, I'm waiting to win the lottery -- whether I bought a ticket or not!

So Battleship, the movie based on the board-game happened.

It starred Taylor Kitsch, Brooklyn Decker, and Rihanna.

Why was this project green-lit?

Movie Review: "The Conjuring"

Microwavable Movie Review Mode Activated!

The Conjuring is "based on a true story", and stars Patrick Wilson, Vera Farmiga, and Ron Livingston.

I don't know how closely it reflects actual events...
