Movie Review: "Batman: The Dark Knight Returns, Part 2"

I highly recommend watching the first part of Batman: The Dark Knight Returns (you can even check out my review right HERE ) before enjoying Part 2 . This movie is set some time in the future, with a much older Batman having just returned from retirement. It has been 10 years since all super heroes have been basically outlawed.

Movie Review: "Gangster Squad"

Gangster Squad is set in Los Angeles after World War II, and involves a group of cops (led by Josh Brolin and Ryan Gosling ) tasked with taking down the city's big, bad, mob boss Micky Cohen (played by Sean Penn ). Oh, and there is some nice eye candy provided by Emma Stone .

How Come?: "Women Drivers"

How Come 95 times out of 100, just by observing a vehicle driving along, or especially while PARKING ... you can scientifically determine guess correctly that there is a lady at the wheel? Is it a genetic predisposition garnered by having double X chromosomes (nature)? Or is it because these ladies are given strange instructions when they are learning to drive (nurture)? Maybe it's a mixture of nature and nurture... - QBF

Movie Review: "Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows"

The second (and final?) installment of Guy Ritchie 's take on the classic detective -- Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows  -- was really quite good. The usual suspects were back and doing excellent work:   Robert Downey Jr. as (Sherlock Holmes), Jude Law (as Dr. John Watson), and Jared Harris (as Professor James Moriarty) really brought their characters to life much better than in the first film.
