#ThrowbackThursday

When you hear certain songs, they take you back to past times with friends. Some of them you're still close with, some you've drifted apart from. But you will always have the memories!

Throwback Thursday

Before I became the road racing fanatic that I am now, it all started with one random race three days after returning from Trinidad Carnival in 2011. I decided to do the Everyone's A Winner 5K race, which I figured would be no big deal. I overslept and reached late (the race had already started), pinned on my bib, and set out at a sprint to catch everyone up. Yeah.

You Oughta Know: Trinidad is Hilarious! #2

Okay so the good natured ribbing of my second most favourite Caribbean island continues, as I highlight for you gems from the Tourism Development Company's approved literature for tourists.

You Oughta Know: Trinidad is Hilarious! #1

Okay, now I haven't been active on the site for a while due to my trip to Trinidad for their awesome awesome AWESOME carnival. Now I'm back on the grind, and I brought back many (unintentionally) humourous facts regarding that lovely twin island republic. This is going to be an ongoing series as I go through the literature I received as a tourist, and even though I poke fun of them, I love me some Trinis! Now on with the show:

NSFW Monday!

As we draw tantalizingly closer to the start of the World Cup on June 11th, we return with Part 8 of the "Body-Painted Football Babes Bonanza"!! This week's selection is from the Republic of Trinidad & Tobago , the land of soca, calypso, hot girls, and carnival.   The "Soca Warriors" had the distinction of being the second English-speaking nation from the Caribbean to qualify for the World Cup (the first being Jamaica of course) in 2006. Soca Time 2009!

I had to add some soca music to the site, seeing as it's Carnival season. Alas, no Trinidad Carnival for me (again) this year... But Bacchanal Jamaica not gonna miss me! Now, enjoy the music. - QBF PS: Sorry but it auto-starts, which I admit can be annoying.
