#SundayReviews: "Star Wars: Episode IX - The Rise of Skywalker"

The end of Star Wars. I didn't want to watch Star Wars: Episode IX - The Rise of Skywalker , but my nephew wanted to watch it so off to the cinema I went! I had previously read and watched voraciously all the bad reviews and spoilers for the film, so I hoped that with rock bottom expectations I would be able to at least enjoy the spectacle of it all on screen. From Google: "The surviving Resistance faces the First Order once more as Rey ( Daisy Ridley ), Finn ( John Boyega ) and Poe Dameron's ( Oscar Isaac ) journey continues. With the power and knowledge of generations behind them, the final battle commences."

#MovieReview: "Star Wars: Episode VI - Return of the Jedi"

It took much longer than it should have, but I got distracted doing other things to finish this experiment... For those of you who have forgotten, I was re-watching the Star Wars series in the Machete Order, which goes as follows: Episode 4 - A New Hope Episode 5 - The Empire Strikes Back Episode 2 - Attack of the Clones Episode 3 - Revenge of the Sith Episode 6 - Return of the Jedi And only now at the end ( Return of the Jedi ) do I understand. ;-)

Movie Review: "Star Wars: Episode V - The Empire Strikes Back"

Part 2 of my re-watching the Star Wars series in the Machete Order was Episode 5. After getting their asses kicked (and their spiffy new space station destroyed) by a rookie pilot (Luke Skywalker), a smuggler, and a pretty princess, Darth Vader is on the warpath! Running for their lives, our young heroes learn what happens when  The Empire Strikes Back !

Movie Review: "Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope"

So I've decided to re-watch the Star Wars series in its entirety... well, almost entirely. I'm doing them in the Machete Order , which goes as follows: Episode 4 - A New Hope Episode 5 - The Empire Strikes Back Episode 2 - Attack of the Clones Episode 3 - Revenge of the Sith Episode 6 - Return of the Jedi Yes it's only 5 of the 6 movies, with Episode 1 - The Phantom Menace  ( QBF Rating 3.0/5 ) getting the shaft for a number of reasons (e.g. Jar Jar Binks and a crappy plot) despite it having the best fight sequence in my opinion with Darth Maul.
