Maleficent is a re-telling of the classic fairy-tale " Sleeping Beauty ". Although I gather there are different versions of the story, so it may be closer to the original as far as I know. It stars Angelina Jolie as the titular bad-ass fairy, and also features the talents of Elle Fanning as Princess Aurora, and Sharlto Copley as King Stefan.
