I was very hesitant to watch The Huntsman: Winter's War , since it was the sequel to Snow White and the Huntsman . Fast forward a few years, and I'm certain that Kristen Stewart is nowhere near involved in any fashion, so I gave it a shot. From Google: "Betrayed by her evil sister Ravenna ( Charlize Theron ), heartbroken Freya ( Emily Blunt ) retreats to a northern kingdom to raise an army of huntsmen as her protectors. Gifted with the ability to freeze her enemies in ice, Freya teaches her young soldiers to never fall in love. When Eric ( Chris Hemsworth ) and fellow warrior Sara ( Jessica Chastain ) defy this rule, the angry queen does whatever she can to stop them. As war between the siblings escalates, Eric and Sara try to end Ravenna's wicked reign."

Matt Damon is an astronaut stranded on an alien world, again, but this time he's The Martian . This movie is nothing like Interstellar though, nor anything like John Carter (of Mars), as it's all about whether his character can survive the unforgiving, inhospitable planet... by himself.

Okay the big boys have arrived to make Gravity look more like the popcorn fluff that it was. Interstellar stars Anne Hathaway ,  Jessica Chastain , Matthew McConaughey , and Michael Caine -- so already the acting chops have been increased by an order of magnitude! (Why am I bashing on that very successful movie anyway?) This film is set in the future when the Earth is "dying", and humanity's only hope to avoid extinction is to leave in search of a new planet to call home.

I remember where I was when I heard they'd killed Osama bin Laden -- Bacchanal Jamaica Road March, wining with some attractive ladies -- and there was a lot (more) celebrating on the streets of Kingston that day. Zero Dark Thirty  is the fictionalised story of the CIA's hunt for him, and it stars Jessica Chastain as the hotshot analyst whose sole obsessive focus was finding OBL.
