Movie Review: "Safety Not Guaranteed"

Safety Not Guaranteed is another very different, very quirky romantic comedy (like Seeking a Friend for the End of the World), and it just works.

The stars (Aubrey Plaza, Mark Duplass, and Jake Johnson) aren't super attractive, but neither are they hideous.

As such, they make great stand-ins for the audience and draw you into the story.

Freaky Friday

This is the most awesome rap song of all time!!

(Done in the voices of Family Guy characters that is.)

Movie Review: "Crazy, Stupid, Love."

Right off the bat, let me admit it: I thought Crazy, Stupid, Love. would be just a good way to pass the time.

Get a few laughs and get out.

It's just another Steve Carell movie (granted it also starred Ryan Gosling and Julianne Moore), how good could it be?

Movie Review: "Moon"

Moon is not your ordinary sci-fi flick.

This one explores much more than a laser beam or a warp drive.

It truly explores the human condition.

Movie Review: "Seeking a Friend for the End of the World"

Seeking a Friend for the End of the World is an interesting dramedy about what happens when the world knows it's about to end.

It's nice to see more than the usual rioting and crazy behaviour; to see people actually connecting with others more than before.

(Oh yeah, and it stars Steve Carrell and Keira Knightley.)

Movie Review: "Ted"

Well somehow Seth MacFarlane did it again.

He took the same old comedic formula from his cartoons (Man-Child + Talking Weird Thing + Inappropriate Humour), and applied it successfully to a live-action movie.

And so we have Ted; starring Mark Wahlberg, Mila Kunis, and Seth himself (as the voice of Ted).

Movie Review: "Redline"

Redline is a Japanese anime of the type that first attracted me to the genre when I was a teenager.

Nudity? Check.

Lots of physically impossible action sequences? Check.

Fast vehicles? Triple check.

EXPLOSIONS? Check.

Crazy story that doesn't exactly make any sense? Undoubtedly, check!

Fun times to be had watching it?...
