I remember where I was when I heard they'd killed Osama bin Laden -- Bacchanal Jamaica Road March, wining with some attractive ladies -- and there was a lot (more) celebrating on the streets of Kingston that day.
Zero Dark Thirty is the fictionalised story of the CIA's hunt for him, and it stars Jessica Chastain as the hotshot analyst whose sole obsessive focus was finding OBL.
While the story is pretty compelling, I mean, this was the largest manhunt in history! It turns out kind of boring (like real life usually is, no matter the job). Also, they unfortunately depicted the use of torture as much more effective and useful -- in terms of getting good intel -- than actually happened.
It works out to an OKAY MOVIE.
QBF Rating: 3.0/5
EDITOR'S NOTE (13/05/2015): It's now been revealed how fictionalised this story actually was. Propaganda pure and simple. They found Osama bin Laden because a Pakistani official turned him in for a reward. And the Pakistanis had him prisoner since 2006. Oops!
