Everyone wants their own cinematic universe, so the Wizarding World continues its expansion with Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald.
I wasn't impressed by the first attempt, so let's see how this second film fares.
From Google:
"In an effort to thwart Grindelwald's (Johnny Depp) plans of raising pure-blood wizards to rule over all non-magical beings, Albus Dumbledore (Jude Law) enlists his former student Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne), who agrees to help, unaware of the dangers that lie ahead. Lines are drawn as love and loyalty are tested, even among the truest friends and family, in an increasingly divided wizarding world."
This movie seems all over the place, in telling -- or rather, trying to tell -- several stories at once.
It also must not have been very interesting because I slept thru a bunch of it and woke up for the finale -- which was as disappointing as the first one to me.
WATCH THIS ON STREAMING to keep up with the magical hi-jinks and to see the cool special effects.
QBF Rating: 2.0/5
PS: I finally made it through the missing bits after several failed attempts!
