#SundayReviews: "Cars 3"

(This is a beta-test of a new movie review process, I'm going to start writing the first half of the review before watching the film.)

So now it's time to watch Cars 3, the ongoing adventures of Lightning McQueen and (shudder) Mater... It stars the voice talents of: Owen Wilson, Cristela Alonzo, Chris Cooper, Nathan Fillion, and Armie Hammer.

This time Lightning is no longer the hotshot young racer, but the ageing champion looking to stop the latest phenom from usurping his place -- the story has come full circle it seems.

From Google:

"Blindsided by a new generation of blazing-fast cars, the legendary Lighting McQueen finds himself pushed out of the sport that he loves. Hoping to get back in the game, he turns to Cruz Ramirez, an eager young technician who has her own plans for winning. With inspiration from the Fabulous Hudson Hornet and a few unexpected turns, No. 95 prepares to compete on Piston Cup Racing's biggest stage."

This was sooo much better than Cars 2! (There was very little Mater to grate on your nerves.)

I liked the journey they had Lightning and his crew take, and I think the ending was the most logical -- for a story about sentient vehicles whose ancestors probably killed all humanity and took over the Earth.

But I digress.

This was a FUN, FAMILY FRIENDLY movie to watch.

#WednesdayReviews: "Love Wedding Repeat"

I've no clue what this movie is about, but it's got Olivia Munn in it, and the trailer was nice enough, so I'm guessing its another inoffensive romantic-comedy. So it's time to Love Wedding Repeat . From Google: "Alternate versions of the same wedding unfold as Jack ( Sam Claflin ) tries to make sure his little sister has the perfect wedding day."
