Movie Review: "Maleficent"

Maleficent is a re-telling of the classic fairy-tale "Sleeping Beauty". Although I gather there are different versions of the story, so it may be closer to the original as far as I know.

It stars Angelina Jolie as the titular bad-ass fairy, and also features the talents of Elle Fanning as Princess Aurora, and Sharlto Copley as King Stefan.

This movie could have gone bad, judging by the steaming pile of bull manure that was Snow White. However, that may have been due to the fact that the director was fucking that human mannequin Kristen Stewart, rather than using a fairy-tale as the source material.

Now the acting in this movie was excellent, and I ended up liking the different spin on a story I had grown up knowing. It was much more nuanced and for lack of a better word, adult.

Also the action sequences were very exciting with cool special effects, so there's that.

GO WATCH IT.

#WednesdayReviews: "Love Wedding Repeat"

I've no clue what this movie is about, but it's got Olivia Munn in it, and the trailer was nice enough, so I'm guessing its another inoffensive romantic-comedy. So it's time to Love Wedding Repeat . From Google: "Alternate versions of the same wedding unfold as Jack ( Sam Claflin ) tries to make sure his little sister has the perfect wedding day."
