It's been a WHILE since I've given you a TV Show review, so here's one of the last shows I actually binge-watched: Chilling Adventures of Sabrina on (of course) Netflix. This is a grow-up version of the comic character Sabrina the Teenage Witch.
This is the first season.
From Google:
"This adaptation of the "Sabrina the Teenage Witch" tale is a dark coming-of-age story that traffics in horror and the occult. In the reimagined origin story, Sabrina Spellman wrestles to reconcile her dual nature -- half-witch, half-mortal -- while standing against the evil forces that threaten her, her family -- including aunts Hilda (Lucy Davis) and Zelda (Miranda Otto) -- and the daylight world humans inhabit. Kiernan Shipka ("Mad Men") leads the cast in the titular role of the show that is based on a comic series of the same name."
This show is a set of conundrums.
How do you have such a dark, funny and touching show all in one?
All the characters didn't get all the attention they deserved, and some plot threads seemed to have been forgotten, but I'll see what happens in Season 2.
After picking all those nits GO WATCH THIS as the acting and production value are superb.
