#MovieReview: "Allied"

So, getting the gossip out of the way, if you're married to Brad Pitt, don't send him off to make any movies where his character has a love interest and they get married... All's fair in love and war in Allied.

This World War II period piece stars Brad Pitt and Marion Cotillard.

From Google:

"The story of intelligence officer Max Vatan, who in 1942 North Africa encounters French Resistance fighter Marianne Beausejour on a deadly mission behind enemy lines. Reunited in London, their relationship is threatened by the extreme pressures of the war."

So there are two things wrong with what could have been a very compelling movie based on a love story and suspenseful intrigue...

They bungled the love story (I sensed zero chemistry between the two leads), and the suspenseful intrigue was similarly bungled.

WATCH IF YOU'RE BORED I guess. This would have been awesome had it been made as an HBO limited series.

#WednesdayReviews: "Love Wedding Repeat"

I've no clue what this movie is about, but it's got Olivia Munn in it, and the trailer was nice enough, so I'm guessing its another inoffensive romantic-comedy. So it's time to Love Wedding Repeat . From Google: "Alternate versions of the same wedding unfold as Jack ( Sam Claflin ) tries to make sure his little sister has the perfect wedding day."
