#MovieReview: "The Purge: Election Year"

So I missed the second Purge movie, and decided in the wake of Donald Trump's seemingly inevitable rise to power in 2016 -- and already having a grasp of how the Hunger Games work -- I should get a refresher on how he might rule the USA Purge-style.

Hence my trip to the cinema to watch The Purge: Election Year.

Starring Frank Grillo, Elizabeth Mitchell, Mykelti Williamson, Joseph Julian Soria, and Betty Gabriel, this might be the most diverse cast outside of a Fast & Furious episode!

This was an enjoyable enough movie. Of course the characters make some interesting decisions along the way to keep the plot moving, but it still kept me entertained.

Also, it was was hilarious/scary that the New Founding Fathers of America (NFFA) party is clearly modelled on the Republican (GOP) party in real life, plus the tagline on the poster is so Trump-ian!

WATCH IT ON CABLE before the election in November 2016.

#WednesdayReviews: "Love Wedding Repeat"

I've no clue what this movie is about, but it's got Olivia Munn in it, and the trailer was nice enough, so I'm guessing its another inoffensive romantic-comedy. So it's time to Love Wedding Repeat . From Google: "Alternate versions of the same wedding unfold as Jack ( Sam Claflin ) tries to make sure his little sister has the perfect wedding day."
