I had no idea what Sicario was supposed to be about when I first heard about it, but I assumed it was a generic action movie of some sort. However, after getting rave reviews from my friends, I decided to give it a chance.
Starring Benicio Del Toro, Emily Blunt, and Josh Brolin it had a solid cast.
I knew the term "sicario" from recently watching the Narcos season 1 about Pablo Escobar on Netflix, so I assumed it had something to do with narco hired killers...
So what did I think? Well, the plot is very basic, however, the action scenes are just so damn perfect you don't mind.
The violence is very violent, but not over the top, just enough to get the point across. They could've easily gone for the gore factor, but decided that less was more -- and they were right.
Also, you feel as if you're getting a view of a world you rarely see, i.e. how the world really is run.
VERY WATCHABLE.
