It took his passing for me to realise this unfortunately, but as I was sitting in his funeral, I realised that my closest group of friends from high-school (to this day) were all due to him.
It started innocently enough when he invited to play a game of Dungeons & Dragons with them, which I had played once before with my brother (hilariously).
I enjoyed playing D&D, and they shared a love (obsession?) with comics -- and thus multiple friendships were born!
