The third (and final?) movie of Shellhead's trilogy -- Iron Man 3 was a visual and special effects masterpiece.
Starring once again the usual cast of characters, namely Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark/Iron Man, Gwyneth Paltrow as Pepper Potts, and Don Cheadle as Col. James Rhodes/War Machine/Iron Patriot; they are joined by two interesting new antagonists.
Ben Kingsley as The Mandarin, and Guy Pearce as Aldrich Killian.
Now this movie was definitely better than Iron Man 2, and really should have been better than Iron Man -- but the MAJOR PLOT HOLES lessens the enjoyment for me until it is just about the same as #2.
(Maybe I'm a nit-picker, but even a comic book movie needs to make sense sometime!)
If you just sit and enjoy the story, dialogue, and character development, you will really enjoy it.
Not to mention the awesome fight scenes. Simply spectacular.
A very good SUMMER BLOCKBUSTER.
