Based on the great manga (Japanese comic books/graphic novels), the three movies made were: Ghost in the Shell Ghost in the Shell 2: Innocence Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex - Solid State Society
So I saw The Debt , starring Helen Mirren . It's a well acted drama set both in 1965 (when a covert mission is undertaken), and in 1997 (when the three operatives are reunited). I don't want to give away too much of the plot, but it has a lot of drama and angst -- plus a nice action scene or two.
Puss in Boots was awesomeness! Antonio Banderas + Salma Hayek (in either animated or real-life) seems to always = Epic Win. I didn't even know it was in 3D until I showed up at the cinema, but would you believe it? ACTUAL 3D-ness. I never once felt cheated.
Wow. That was an awesome movie! Real Steel is a movie that works great as a kid's movie, AND as an adult's movie at the same time -- quite a rare feat to accomplish. Also of note, Hugh Jackman finally has a good movie outside of X-Men.
